FGV now accepting applications for its short- and medium-term courses

The courses are held in Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo and feature modern and dynamic content both for those who are starting their careers and want to specialize on a certain subject, and those who are already in the market and are looking to refresh their knowledge and develop their network.

Fundação Getulio Vargas has opened applications for its short- and medium-term continuing education courses, featuring modern and dynamic content both for those who are starting their careers and want to specialize on a certain subject, and those who are already in the market and are looking to refresh their knowledge and develop their network. The courses are held in Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, divided into two categories: short and medium duration. Classes start in February 2019.

The new course Executive Training in Modern Economy is offered in Brasilia, delivering key insights into economy and the behavior of companies and consumers at a fast pace, based on the following modules: Modern microeconomics, Modern macroeconomics, Behavioral economics, and Game theory.

Another new course is Executive Training in Digital Marketing, designed to help students understand the importance of managing online and offline marketing actions, based on a holistic approach.

There is also the Executive Training in Smart Cities and Innovation course, covering the entire ecosystem of open innovation, management, measuring results and financing sources, as well as cities’ digitalization practices that forge a new scenario of connection and cooperation between residents, business owners, entrepreneurs and governments. This new course is held in Rio de Janeiro.

Rio also holds four other unreleased Executive Training courses. One of them is to train leaders, designed to develop skills and competencies to implement good leadership and people management practices to help add value to organizations.

There is also the Executive Training in Digital Business course, providing theory, research and hands-on experience in strategies around business, brands, online communities, strategic product design and innovation management, and project management. The Executive Training in Agile Practices course teaches participants about the principles of Lean and Agile Project Management, building a mindset for the team to focus on adding value, eliminating waste, collaborating, visual thinking and frequent deliveries. Finally, the Executive Training in Uncomplicated Quantitative Methods course uses an innovative methodology to quickly disseminate knowledge among professionals looking for more information, candidates of civil service exams who don’t have time and need a crash course in statistics, probability and mathematics.

FGV offers three unreleased courses in Sao Paulo: One of them is Pet Market: Pet Business Management. Brazil is the world’s third largest pet market, which is why the course provides insights into the inner workings of the Pet world, store environment, planogram and circulation, labor, tax and fiscal relations, legal procedures, protocols and standards, in addition to addressing the customer’s relationship with this market.

The course titled Unveiling the Future of our Organization presents Futuring methodologies effectively applied to anticipate changes that may generate opportunities or pose threats to your operations, products, services, or business models, ultimately securing your company’s competitiveness and longevity, or the quality of life of your population.

The Marketing and Artificial Intelligence course provides key skills for professionals to develop and implement strategies in Cloud Marketing platforms, optimizing data use.
