FGV offers free online courses to in-person specialized course students

FGV Executive Education has been working on a range of measures to make up for the suspension of in-person classes because of the coronavirus. Since March 23, in-person specialized course students have been able to take two free 24-hour courses, selected from FGV Executive Educations online programs. These two courses are about “Project Management Trends” and “Leadership and Motivation” – fundamental subjects for any market professional. After completing these courses, students can obtain a digital participation certificate.

In addition, between March 24 and 28, around 100 classes mediated via Zoom technology were scheduled, each lasting approximately one hour, to discuss key issues addressed in these subjects. Several choices of days and times were offered so that everyone could try out this methodology, which will be used for FGV’s executive education courses to replace cancelled classes.

According to Professor Mary Murashima, FGV Executive Education’s director of academic management, the world is going through a difficult moment, which requires resilience, effort, collaboration and determination from everyone. However, she believes that this moment may also accelerate the development of new and important skills that will be increasingly demanded by the job market and society as a whole in the 21st century.

“We really believe that the proposed solutions are completely in line with our commitment to help our students develop skills that can favor adaptation, reflective criticism and knowing how to think through experiences, whether in a physical classroom or virtually. This will enable people to act effectively in very volatile situations like the one we are facing now, work well with others, perform well and achieve their goals in an ethical and integrated way,” she says.

And it seems that students have already realized this, given the large number of people signing up for these courses and classes via Zoom.
