On Monday, Freitas was in Cupey to talk about the relationship between the academic world and the private sector in the development of an entrepreneurial culture in Puerto Rico. The conference addressed the main challenges facing higher education today, where the increasing integration of global markets requires reflection on new strategies for development.

As for Tuesday, the professor visited the studios of the television network Telemundo - where there was a roundtable that discussed a comprehensive reform of the Puerto Rican educational system in order to promote innovation and competitiveness in the Caribbean nation. Besides Freitas, the debate included representatives from private and government entities in Puerto Rico, Cupey and local press agencies.
