FGV Professor discusses the role of government institutions at a conference in Italy

Carlos Pereira, professor at FGV's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) will participate in the 17th Annual Conference of The International Society for New Institutional Economics (ISNIE), from today until June 22nd, in Florence, Italy.
The professor will present the article: Beliefs, Leadership and Economic Development: Making the Critical Transition, which addresses the role played by political beliefs and leaders at critical moments in the development of a particular country.
The conference - organized with support from the European University Institute, the University of Florence and University Paris-Dauphine - will bring together world leading scholars in Economy, Organization Theory, Law, Political Science and other Social Sciences to discuss the role of institutions in social, political and economy contexts.
Carlos Pereira is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oxford, PhD and MA in Political Science by New School University-New York, and Master in Sociology at the Federal University of Pernambuco.
