FGV professor takes up presidency of the National School of Public Administration

Francisco Gaetani, professor of the Professional Master?s in Public Administration (MAP) at FGV?s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), has been named president of the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), one of the most important Brazilian public educational institutions linked to the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management.A specialist in Public Policy and Government Management, Gaetani will continue the work of ENAP. The institution aims to promote, develop and implement human resources training programs for the Federal Public Administration, with the goal of improving the government?s capacity in Public Policy Management.Gaetani has a PhD in Political Science and a Master?s in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), considered one of the most prestigious academic research centers in the world.He served as Executive Secretary, Deputy Executive Secretary and Secretary of Management at the Ministry of Planning, and also worked as an Executive Secretary at the Ministry of the Environment (MMA). He was the General Coordinator for Brazil, among other positions, at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He was also the director of the Minas Gerais School of Government - João Pinheiro Foundation, an Academic Planning advisor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), a Planning Advisor for Vale and a Project Manager for the Minas Gerais State Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare.
