FGV Projetos and EESP hold Series of Lecture on Public Procurement and Concessions Drawings

With the support of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management and the National Fund for Education Development (ENDF), the cycle consists of three events: two of academic nature in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and one oriented at society, bringing together leaders from government, private and academic environments in Brasília.

Discuss the current situation of public purchases' regulation and management in the country and provide the paths to their continuous improvement are the main objectives of FGV - through FGV Projetos and EESP - and the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA) this March, when they conduct the First Brazilian Series of Conferences on Public Purchases and Concessions Drawings. With the support of the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management and the National Fund for Education Development (ENDF), the cycle consists of three events: two of academic nature in São Paulo (March 21-22) and Rio de Janeiro (March 24-25), and one oriented at society, bringing together leaders from government, private and academic environments in Brasília (March 26).São Paulo - March 21-22In São Paulo, the event will offer limited participation and it will be oriented at theoretical and empirical issues, covering topics such as design of auctions and contracts; efficiency and innovative models for public procurement; methods of selecting suppliers, public-private partnerships and green purchases.Rio de Janeiro, March 24-25.In Rio, it will be opened to the public and it will address topics such as political economy, regulatory and institutional environment in public purchases; corruption, fraud and collusion in public procurement; regulation; compliance and other policy issues.Place: FGV's Auditorium - Praia de Botafogo, 190/12th floorFor more information and registration, please click here.Seminar in Brasília - March 26It is the main meeting of the Cycle and it is also open to the public. The event takes place in Brasília on March 26 at ESAF (School of Finance Administration), and it will be oriented at governmental strategy. Issues related to the role of the various branches of government in encouraging socioeconomic development and management for more transparent, efficient and innovative purchases will be discussed.
