FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School launches 2022 Regulatory Best Practices Awards
The Center for Research in Law and Economics (CPDE) at the FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School, in partnership with the school’s Regulation in Numbers research project, has issued a call for entries for the fifth edition of the FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School Regulatory Best Practices Awards. The awards are aimed at initiatives implemented by federal, state and municipal regulatory agencies, whether individually or in partnership with other organizations.
Entries will be accepted between August 1 and September 15. The FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School’s objective is to recognize and highlight regulatory best practices adopted by Brazil’s regulatory agencies, celebrating innovative initiatives in areas such as transparency, governance, participation, management and protection of the rights of consumers or users.
The awards are an important way of promoting advances in regulatory law in Brazil, by raising the profile of successful regulatory practices that have been implemented across the country.
The idea is for these initiatives to be replicated and adapted in future by other institutions that are involved in regulation. The awards also share information about how challenges commonly faced by regulatory bodies have been overcome. Finally, the awards encourage the pursuit of innovative and efficient ways forward in the field of regulation.
