Fundação Getulio Vargas signed last Friday, June 28, a general agreement of cooperation with China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The agreement - which is already in force for next semester - envisages exchange programs for students, professors and researchers, as well as joint research programs.

FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School (DIREITO RIO) and the CUPL's College of Comparative Law had already entered into a partnership in 2011. With this signing, the agreement was extended to all FGV schools.

The signing ceremony was attended by FGV's president, Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal; the director of the Rio de Janeiro Law School, Joaquim Falcão; the deputy director of Education, Research and Graduate Studies, Sérgio Guerra; and the coordinator of the Center for Research in Law and Economics (CPDE), Antônio José Maristrello Porto. The president of CUPL, Shi Yajun, represented the university along with four other professors.

After signing the agreement, the Chinese delegation and Professor António Porto attended a lunch at the Minister Ellen Gracie?s home.
