Professor of the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE), Fatima Bayma, was one of the speakers at the Fórum Nacional Royalties e Direitos Humanos? (Royalties and Human Rights National Forum) held in Campos dos Goytacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro.Invited by the Federal prosecutor, Eduardo Santos de Oliveira, and also by the National Strategy and Action Group for Petroleum Affairs (GAEPE), Fatima participated in the panel Building strategies: the optimization of basic education with the resources of Royalties, in which she spoke about the importance of the use of royalties derived from the exploitation of oil and natural gas in education, recognition of primary school teachers in Brazil and the effective implementation of full-time education in schools. The panel also included the panel adviser of Ação Educativa Assessoria, Pesquisa e Informação and Managing member of the National Campaign for the Right to Education, Salomão Barros Ximenes, and the Professor of the Geography course of Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Elzira Lúcia Oliveira.The Forum brought together experts to promote debate about the use of the royalties as human development factor, in line with the approach proposed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).Please click below and learn more about the forum (in Portuguese).http://www.forumroyaltiesedireitos.com.br/
