FGV's International Affairs Division participates in conferences in Morocco and South Africa

Before the two conferences, meetings of the Boards of Directors and Management Boards of both institutions, IIAS and IASIA, - directing bodies of which the professor Bianor participates, were held.

Between June and July, FGV's International Affairs Division (DINT) participated in two major academic events in the African continent: the Annual Conference of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the Annual Conference of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA).At the IIAS Conference, held on June 13-16 in Ifrane - Morocco, FGV's international director, Bianor Cavalcanti, presented the article Fighting corruption: the use of information and communication technologies in the Brazilian public administration. The paper discusses the use of new technologies - such as social networks - to fight corruption in the field of Public Administration.At the IASIA meeting, held between June 30 and July 4 in Port Elizabeth - South Africa, Bianor also presented the work State and the local development: the case of Pacifying Police Units in Rio de Janeiro, in which he analyzes the impacts of Pacifying Police Units (UPPs).Both articles are co-authored with DINT's academic analyst, Guilherme Marques.
