FGV's Law Schools discuss methods for teaching Global Law

The event testifies to the continuity of the collaboration network to serve as a communication channel between professors and researchers, creating a space to formulate new questions about the topics discussed.

On February 10, São Paulo Law School (FGV DIREITO SP) held - in partnership with Rio de Janeiro Law School (FGV DIREITO RIO), the Law School of Ribeirão Preto (USP-FDRP) and The Institute of International Relations (IRI-USP) - the second edition of the workshop of the collaboration network on Global Law and its Methodological Alternatives. The event brought together 40 professors of educational institutions from the five regions of Brazil, with the participation of graduate students selected from a public call.

In this second edition, the organizing committee composed of professors Michelle Ratton Sanchez Badin (FGV DIREITO SP), Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida (FGV DIREITO RIO), Caio Gracco Pinheiro Dias (FDRP-USP) and Deisy de Freitas Lima Ventura (IRI-USP) has developed a program with the objective of exchanging information on the spaces of registration of academic production and the initiative for research and publications that promote the collaboration network.

The debate focused on teaching methods and research in International Law from the participants' real experiences. This forum intends to devote a space for academic professionals in the field of Law, with full time dedication to teaching and research - a career that has been better defined in recent years in Brazil, explains Michelle Ratton.

The event testifies to the continuity of the collaboration network to serve as a communication channel between professors and researchers, creating a space to formulate new questions about the topics discussed. The results will be published soon in an E-book. 

The workshop took place in Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo.
