The Program FGV Ensino Médio Digital (Digital High School) of Fundação Getulio Vargas launches this year Leres & Saberes Digital (You Read & You Know)- a free online course with content related to high school education and the Brazilian High School National Examination (Enem), in order to prepare students to enter public and private universities. 100 students who have completed or are completing their high school studies in public schools across the country will be accepted. The free course will include online monitoring by tutors for each subject offered: Portuguese, Literature, Writing, Art, English, Mathematics, Geography, History, Sociology, Philosophy, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Tutors will be available online at a predetermined time for any questions, clarifications and to assign homework to students. At the end, a participation certificate will be given to the students who had a minimum 75% success rate during the project.Once a month, the student must also take an extra activity - called Cultural Interface - where he/she will have to write a paper on a proposal submitted by the tutor. The work may consist of the analysis of a film or a piece of art, or even a visit to some cultural or historical space. The activity should be completed in a specific form and delivered to the tutor, who will later make comments through the online environment.Leres e Saberes Digital will take place from March to November 2014, exclusively in an online environment, through Leres & Saberes Digital of FGV's portal Ensino Médio Digital (in Portuguese). Registration is open until February 3rd.For more information about the initiative, please click here (in Portuguese).
