Every professional knows that attending a graduate course today is a prerequisite to open up more (and larger) doors in the labor market. Therefore, the choice of course and educational institution is a decision that should be taken calmly and carefully, taking into account aspects such as course curriculum, integrity of the institution, the weight of the certificate for the companies and the applicability of the knowledge acquired in the professional practice.
In addition to these items, another aspect that can be a differential when deciding on an MBA is the possibility of adding a study abroad experience to the curriculum. Used to having students from around the world, business schools in the U.S., Europe and Asia offer executives a rich multicultural environment to exchange experiences.

To explore the possibility of offering a global education to its MBA students, Fundação Getulio Vargas holds agreements with renowned educational institutions in the global executive education scenario. Every year, hundreds of students participate in the so called international modules - short, medium and long duration programs during which participants are taught by local professors, make technical visits to companies and participate in meetings with students from institutions where the modules are attended.

In August last year, a group of FGV's MBA students participated in the International Module of Project Management, offered in the Business School of George Washington University (GWU) in Washington DC, in the United States. The module is offered in partnership with the Higher Education Institute of Administration and Economy of Mercosur (ISAE), an institution affiliated to FGV in the state of Paraná.

The module has broadened my managerial skills and indicated new horizons to all participants. The environment of the GWU and the technical visits, with the possibility of a sincere and direct dialogue, consolidated many knowledge already acquired in Brazil. This experience was very important, because there is no comparison to what we experience. It is more than a chance to illustrate the theory with the reality of our projects, it is about experiencing other modern management practices, reported Luciano Milani Piechnik, who attended the module in 2012.

FGV's international modules are offered throughout the year, and send MBA students to institutions around the world.
