FGV's School of Administration in Rio creates scholarship program for public schools' students
Considered by the Ministry of Education one of the best institutions of higher education in the country, FGV's Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) has launched the EBAPE/Social Scholarship - destined to public schools' students who do not have the means to pay for their studies. The eligible ones will be exempt from paying tuition fees and/or school fees and will be entitled to a food card.
The initiative is part of the reformulation project of the course - which aims to attract talent from all over the country, irrespective of their financial condition. The EBAPE/Social Scholarship is a meaningful way to contribute to the development of Brazil, which is the mission of FGV. We believe in education as the main agent of transformation and we are sure that acting this way we collaborate for a better country, says the head of the Center for Graduate Studies, professor Henrique Heidtmann Neto.
In order to obtain EBAPE/Social scholarship, the student must pass FGV/EBAPE's college entrance exams, prove that he/she attended High School in a public school and state, through the Income Tax of his/her guardians, that he/she does not have the means to pay for school fees. The number of scholarships granted will depend on factors such as demand and analysis of the Committee in charge. Please visit the website and learn more (available only in Portuguese).
In addition to EBAPE/Social Scholarship, the School offers the Refundable Scholarship (which requires reimbursement after the end of the course), the Mérito Vestibular Scholarship, which exempts the first ten qualified students of any payment, and the Merit/Annual Scholarship, for students who are studying at EBAPE and show an improvement in their learning curve. All are granted through FGV's Scholarship Fund.
