Fundação Getulio Vargas’ International Affairs Division (FGV DINT), in partnership with CAF, the development bank of Latin America, has developed a free online course on Project Management Applied to the Public and Private Sectors in Latin America. On February 15, the first group of students completed it.

More than 2,000 people in 33 countries have signed up to take the course, which was produced by FGV Online in conjunction with FGV professors who have state-of-the-art knowledge in the area. The four-month course is designed to improve the efficiency of initiatives and projects in the public and private sectors, enabling students to learn more about topics such as fundamental principles, management processes, the project life cycle, and the management of acquisitions and technological resources.

In all, 247 people have completed the course and received a free participation certificate. The training is part of CAF’s strategy to enhance the competencies and skills of project managers in order to contribute to sustainable development and institutional strengthening in Latin America.

By the middle of 2020, there are plans to launch a Spanish version of the course, to further spread the knowledge offered by FGV, focusing on Latin American and Caribbean countries.
