First IGP-M preview for September shows progress, according to the Brazilian Institute of Economics

The General Price Index - Market (IGP-M) calculated by FGV's Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) moved forward, changing 1.02% in the first 10-day period of September. In the same period of the previous month, the change was 0.13%.Both the Extended Consumer Price Index (IPA) and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) have accelerated this first 10-day period, presenting a change of 1.42% and 0.20% respectively, mainly due to the price of soybeans and foods, with an emphasis to fruits.The National Construction Cost Index (INCC), on the other hand, maintained the same change rate of the previous month: 0.33%.The first 10-day period of September's IGP-M comprised the period of August 21-31.Please click here to check out the full preview (in English).
