Focus on Asia: event to debate diverse relations between Brazil and Singapore

On May 18, at 10 am, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ International Intelligence Unit (FGV NPII), which this year is running a web series called Focus on Asia, will hold a debate about different aspects of relations between Brazil and Singapore. The webinar will feature representatives of different Asian countries, who will debate and explain why Asia now lies at the center of global geopolitics and economics. This crucial market is still underexploited by Brazil.

The speakers will be Desmond Ng, the head of mission of Singapore’s embassy in Brasília; and Renato Flôres, the director of FGV NPII. The moderator will be journalist Mariana Trigo. The purpose of Focus on Asia is to look at Asian countries and their multiple opportunities, problems and differences.

Focus on Asia has brought FGV closer to other international think tanks and expanded cooperation between Brazil and lands that are distant from it, whether in terms of geography, economic, cultural and political knowledge, or values, fostering international experiences and the development of new projects. The event is open to the public and it will be broadcast on FGV’s YouTube channel.
