Fourth Brazil-Norway Seminar addresses COVID-19’s impacts on shipping
The seminar will feature the national secretary for ports and shipping, Diogo Piloni; the Brazilian Navy’s ports and coast director, Vice Admiral Alexandre Cursino; and the director of the National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ), Adalberto Tokarskie.
Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Rio de Janeiro Law School, together with the Brazilian Association of Norwegian Shipowners (ABRAN) and the Norwegian Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, will hold the “Fourth Brazil-Norway Seminar – The COVID-19 Pandemic’s Impacts on Green Transformation in the Shipping and Offshore Sectors and the Role of Regulation.” The event, which will take place on September 29 and 30, from 10 am to midday, is aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship between Brazil and Norway. It will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel.

During the meeting, the participants will discuss the strategies and initiatives of the Brazilian and Norwegian governments for the sector’s development and the role of regulatory agencies and trade associations.
