Fourth Brazilian Econometrics Games: Competition stimulates study and application of econometric methods

In order to stimulate interest in the study and application of econometric methods among undergraduate students and encourage integration between students at different schools, FGV’s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) will be hosting the Fourth Brazilian Econometrics Games on October 19. The event will be held in FGV’s main building, at Praia de Botafogo, 190, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro. You can enroll until September 8.

The competition, aimed exclusively at undergraduate students, will involve up to 10 teams, each containing up to four students at the same higher education institution and on the same course. The organizing committee, made up of FGV EPGE professors Marcelo Sant’Anna, Cecilia Machado and Luis Henrique Bertolino Braido, will select one team from each education institution, based on participants’ academic performance since they matriculated.

This year, as well as the challenge itself on October 19, there will be a master class, given by FGV EPGE professor Marcelo Moreira the day before the competition (October 18).

Applications are individual and free of charge. All participants must submit their declaration of matriculation and academic record for their undergraduate course and fill in the application form.

These documents must be emailed no later than 11:55 pm on September 8, 2019, to econometricsgames2019@fgv.br. The list of selected teams will be revealed by September 16, 2019.
