Fundação Getulio Vargas discusses public administration in congress in Uruguay
Professors and researchers of Fundação Getulio Vargas attended the 18th Congress of the Centro Latinoamericano de Administración para el Desarrollo (CLAD) - which took place at the end of October in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Professors and researchers of Fundação Getulio Vargas attended the 18th Congress of the Centro Latinoamericano de Administración para el Desarrollo (CLAD) - which took place at the end of October in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. This year, the event brought together more than 1,400 public managers, academics and consultants from the region to discuss The State and Public Administration Reform.FGV's International director, Professors Bianor Cavalcanti, coordinated the panel on the emergence of opened governments in Latin America; and the professor of São Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV/EAESP) Regina Pacheco, on the other hand, headed the panel on partnerships for public services provision and new public governance. A professor of the School, Francisco César Pinto da Fonseca, also spoke about the state, planning and public administration during the meeting.Under the coordination of Professor Marlos Lima, FGV's Latin American Center of Public Policies also had a booth at the conference, to support its professors and disseminate its courses and projects.The 18th CLAD Congress was organized by the government of Uruguay through the Oficina Nacional del Servicio Civil (ONSC), co-sponsored by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank, FUNDIBEQ, the Organization of American States (OAS), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Secretaría-Geral Ibero-Americana and CLEAR Center for Latin America.
