Fundação Getulio Vargas represented Brazil in a seminar in Moscow

On February 28, FGV represented Brazil in the seminar BRICS and Africa: New Opportunities for Cooperation, in Moscow, which addressed the presence of the BRICS in the African continent. Oliver Stuenkel, International Relations professor and CPDOC's coordinator in São Paulo talked about the growing presence of the countries that make up the BRICS in Africa and the implication of this reality for the future of global governance. The event was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, in partnership with the Russian Academy of Foreign Trade and the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP), and preceded the BRICS summit in 2013 - which will be held in March in Durban, South Africa. The seminar was attended by experts from the BRICS and aimed at defining and analyzing the priority topics for joint actions in their countries in Africa.
