Fundação Getulio Vargas will hold an international forum on sports economics

The event will discuss the economic prospects of sports, the soccer scene in the 21st century, the management of the major sporting events that Brazil will host and how sport is related to social inclusion. These are some of the goals of the International Forum on Sports Economics - organized by FGV Management in partnership with IBS Business School and supported by FIFA, UEFA, CBF and the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB). The program will feature thematic lectures given by academics, representatives of the federal and local governments, international sports organizations, among others. The presence of the following has already been confirmed: Sports Minister José Aldo Rebelo, the Municipal Sports Secretary of Rio de Janeiro, Índio da Costa, FIFA's former director of International Relations, Jerôme Champagne, COB's superintendent, Marcus Vinícius Freire, and the international consultant for the Olympic Games organization, Jean-Loup Chapellet. The International Forum on Sports Economics will take place on April 8, at the Sulamérica Convention Center, in Rio de Janeiro.
