?Green Cross Returns to Rio ? Building the safe and sustainable societies of the future? took place at FGV
On July 16, the ?Green Cross Returns to Rio ? Building the safe and sustainable societies of the future? took place at Getulio Vargas Foundation, carried out by the Academic Integration Board in a partnership with the Green Cross, Rotary International, Veiga de Almeida University and Ocean Futures Society. The event was attended by experts, civil society leaders and governments from several countries to discuss how to overcome the global water crisis, achieve the security of natural and energy resources, implement safe and renewable energy sources and provide medical and social assistance to the populations affected by environmental degradation, so as to build fair, sustainable and peaceful societies. Attending the event were the president of Ocean Futures Society, Jean-Michel Cousteau, the Fundação Oswaldo Cruz's researcher and Brazilian representative at the World Health Organization's Executive Board, Paulo Buss and the president of Global Risk Forum Davos, Walter Amman, among others. The ?Green Cross Returns to Rio? took place at FGV headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. It was closed to the public.
