Guest presents study on contracts between companies and the public sector in Brazilian municipalities

On February 5, at 10 am, the Academic Master’s and Doctoral Program Graduate Seminars Series at the FGV´s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV EBAPE) will host a talk by Bernardo Ricca, an assistant professor at INSPER, a higher education institute in Sao Paulo. The guest will present his paper titled “Procurement payment periods and political contributions: evidence from Brazilian municipalities.” The event will take place in Room 3 at FGV EBAPE, at Rua Jornalista Orlando Dantas, 30, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.

Ricca has an undergraduate degree in production engineering from Fluminense Federal University, a master’s in economics from the FGV EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) and a doctorate in finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE, 2019). He is currently lecturing on the theory of the firm and advanced corporate finance topics to doctoral students.

The event, which will take place in English, is aimed at promoting high-level discussion of relevant and topical research subjects, such as the research conducted by Bernardo Ricca. The seminars are intended for master’s and doctoral students, as well as researchers interested in the topic.
