Housing deficit remains a problem common to all regions of Brazil, especially in the large cities of the Southeast, South and Northeast. That's what the network analysis done by the Public Policy Analysis Division (FGV/DAPP), between July 25 and August 1, indicates.  36,000 entries were monitored on social networks linked to homelessness, poor housing and vulnerability due to the price of rent. The map of entries shows that they are closely related to population distribution and access to the internet - which indicates similar dimensions of the problem in different regions. The positive entries to the Minha Casa Minha Vida program were more than double the negative ones, suggesting that public policies for the sector have a tendency to be well evaluated, although there is a clear perception of the housing deficit. The entries on home ownership highlight property ownership as a reference for citizenship among Brazilians. The survey was published yesterday, August 3, in newspaper O Globo, and it is the third edition between FGV/DAPP and the media vehicle. The first two addressed the themes Water and Inflation. The analysis, always related to public policies, will be published regularly on Sundays until the end of the electoral period. Please click here and read more about the network analysis by FGV/DAPP (in English).
