IBRE indicates acceleration in hiring

The Leading Index of Employment (IAEmp), calculated by the Brazilian Institute of Economics (FGV/IBRE), indicated a recovery in hirings for the fourth quarter of 2013. The index advanced 1.2% in August, compared to the previous month, considering seasonally adjusted data.According to IBRE, the factors that most contributed to this result were the indicators that measure the degree of satisfaction of businesses with the current business situation, of the Survey of Services, with a 5.0% change; and those that measure the entrepreneurial spirit for hirings for the coming months, of the Survey of the Manufacturing Industry, with a 3.7% change.IAEmp is calculated with the data collected from the Industry, Services and Consumer Surveys.For more information about the index, please click here.
