Inflation accelerates in five state capitals, according to IBRE's index

The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) calculated by FGV's Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE/FGV) accelerated, recording a 0.38% change - 0.08 percentage point (p.p.) above the rate disclosed in the last calculation.Five of the seven Brazilian state capitals surveyed recorded an increase in their change rates: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte and Salvador - the only one in which the Food group presented a deceleration.The last IPC-S calculation was drawn from October 7.  Please visit IBRE's website to learn more.
