International meeting discusses entrepreneurship and management of small businesses
The Center for Entrepreneurship and New Ventures (GVcenn) of FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) will host the 10th Meeting of Studies in Entrepreneurship and Management of Small Businesses (EGEPE), in partnership with the Brazilian National Association of Studies in Entrepreneurship and Management of Small Businesses (ANGEPE) and the UNICAMP School of Applied Sciences. The event will be held at EAESP on July 4-6 and applicants are required to submit their papers by March 4.
Held since 2000, EGEPE is a well-known event in Brazil, established as the main venue promoting debate in the field of Entrepreneurship and Management of Small Businesses. The purpose of the meeting is to bring together researchers, students and other stakeholders in the field of entrepreneurship and management of small businesses to share studies, ideas and experiences on the subject.
The main theme of the 10th EGEPE is “Paths to strengthen entrepreneurship: transforming possibilities into realities,” with an international lecture on effectuation by professor Saras D. Sarasvathy (University of Virginia, Darden School of Business, USA), and a presentation on entrepreneurial ecosystems by professor Hugo Kantis (Director of Prodem/UNGS).
In addition to the presentation of scientific papers, workshops and themed meetings, the event’s programming traditionally features the Master’s and PhD Consortium, where graduate students discuss their projects with researchers and participate in roundtables on research and publication regarding entrepreneurship and small businesses. Consortium applications will be received until March 31. The 10th EGEPE’s program also includes visits (on July 6) to some of the main accelerators and incubators in São Paulo.
