International webinar addresses the power of empathy in KPIs
Main strategies and practices to leverage empathy in the work environment are the theme of an international webinar, “The International Power of Empathy to Improve KPIs,” to be held online on May 29. Organized by the International Masters Program for Managers (IMPM), the event will feature international speaker Dr. Anita Nowak of McGill University. The event is part of the McGill Leadership Impact Series, a sequence of free online webinars organized by IMPM, addressing subjects aimed at managers in a wide range of sectors.
During the meeting, Nowak, an empathy expert, author, award-winning educator and certified coach, will share key points from her latest book, “Purposeful Empathy: Tapping into our Hidden Superpower for Personal, Organizational and Social Change.” She will also discuss how to increase individual and organizational engagement, productivity, resilience, well-being, leadership, creativity and innovation, among other topics.
Lasting 18 months, IMPM is divided into 5 modules, carried out at some of the world’s foremost business education institutions: FGV EBAPE in Brazil (coordinated by Professor Alexandre Faria), Lancaster University in England, McGill University in Canada, Yokohama National University in Japan, and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in India.
The program brings together experienced managers and leaders around the world from different types of organizations, who reflect on their experiences through a distinctive and transformative teaching methodology. IMPM offers an “FGV EBAPE Brazil Leadership Scholarship,” which is aimed at candidates from Brazil who have more than 10 years of managerial experience and can demonstrate exceptional leadership and a positive impact on Brazilian society and/or the environment.
Only candidates who meet IMPM’s requirements may apply for this scholarship. The next edition of IMPM will begin in September 2023.
