Lecture analyzes project management market
In Europe, for instance, Project Management is no longer seen as a personal competence, but as an organizational competence.

How can success rates in project management and in the governance of private organizations be improved? The answer to that question will be given by Raphael Abergarias, President of the International Project Management Association (IPMA Brazil), during the lecture titled ‘New challenge in Project Management.’ The event will be held on June 27, at 7 p.m., at FGV’s main office auditorium, in Rio de Janeiro.
The President of IPMA Brazil will show how predictability – which comes from effective project management – simplifies decision-making among managers. The public will also be able to learn about new market trends, where project management is no longer merely a tactical-level model, but has become increasingly important at the strategic level as well.
During the event held by FGV’s International Affairs Division, Raphael Abergarias, who has more than 15 years of experience in project management, business consulting, executive education, and the public sector, will draw an overview of project management work in Brazil.
The expert, who gives lectures on this topic in several countries, will point out important market trends and managers’ search for more knowledge, in order to mitigate uncertainty surrounding macroeconomic changes.
At the international level, this picture is quite different. In Europe, for instance, Project Management is no longer seen as a personal competence, but as an organizational competence, according to the President of IPMA Brazil.
“Europeans have already understood the need to focus on results, based on the strategy, in order to align expectations of the organization’s investors and employees. Mapping personal competencies to outline the project team’s profile is the key to the sustainable development of organizations in hyper-competitive environments,” said Raphael Abergarias.
The ‘New challenge in Project Management’ lecture is open to the public. Online registration available via the website.
