Macro Bulletin Coordinator is named Chief Economist of 2019 by the Brazilian Economists’ Association

Silvia Matos, coordinator of the Macro Bulletin of FGV’s Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) has been unanimously chosen as the “Chief Economist of 2019” by the Brazilian Economists’ Association. The award will be presented on August 12, in Sao Paulo, in a ceremony for around 500 guests.

“The award, which is a great honor for me, is a result of the work of the entire team that accompanies the Brazilian and international economy, preparing projections about the main indicators of economic activity, with a high level of accuracy, which has placed us among the Bloomberg’s Top Five,” said Matos.

Graduated in economics from UNICAMP, Matos holds a PhD in Economics from FGV’s EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance.
