The Casoteca of Public Management of the National School of Public Administration (ENAP, linked to the federal government) released the first case study accepted as the final paper for a master's degree.  It is the work called Dia da Criança: Missão Institucional do Exército?? (Children's Day: Institutional Mission of the Army?) - prepared by Claudiney Silvestre, Master in Public Administration from the School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE).The study, directed by Professor Fatima Bayma, discusses the realization of an event related to the Children's Day in a military unit of the Army and discusses the legitimacy of this kind of activity before the sociocultural action vs. national security dilemma. In addition, it talks about the treatment given to donations made by individuals directly to the government, its gathering to government's coffers and the funds received.According to the coordinator of the Professional Master of Public Administration (MAP), Alketa Peci, the case study for teaching was planned as one of the modalities of MAP's Final Work because it aims to transfer knowledge - whether in the classroom, or in professional training dynamics, in line with scientific and technological objectives of a professional master's degree.Other works from students of MAP's first class were also accepted and published in Casoteca: ?Pintura de Guerra I ? Tomada de decisão individual e organizacional? (War Paint I - Taking individual and organizational decisions) by Andrea Bello, and ?O caso do desastre da região serrana do Rio de Janeiro: são adequados os critérios adotados pela administração pública em uma situação de tragédia e calamidade?? (The Case of the disaster in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro: are the criteria adopted by the government suitable in a situation of tragedy and calamity?) by Jorge Gonçalves da Silva. The cases available in Casoteca are learning tools with the potential to transfer knowledge and skills to students, researchers and professionals in the public sector, with a focus either on the problem or on the challenge, whether to overcome it or document the efforts made to replace it.About MAPMAP seeks to consolidate a pro-education strategy, responding to Capes' own diagnosis, with the collaboration of EBAPE's undergraduate course - where students participate in monitoring and can optionally include didactic teaching workshops during the course's curriculum.
