Market professionals to give talks during Business and Entrepreneurship Week in Rio

Between March 9 and 12, in Rio de Janeiro, FGV IDE – Executive Education will hold a Business and Entrepreneurship Week. This event will bring together market professionals and allow participants to learn more about market trends. The talks will take place in Auditorium 909 in FGV’s main building (Praia de Botafogo, 190, Rio de Janeiro), at 7 pm.

The first talk, on March 9, will be about “Effective Management in Times of Crisis.” Professor Ricardo Teixeira, who has more than 10 years of experience in senior management roles at companies of various sizes, will discuss how planning can be a major advantage when tackling current adversities.

Strategy in the Age of Hypercompetition and Disruptive Innovation” will be the subject of the second talk, on March 10. Antonio Carlos Kronemberger, an FGV professor and managing partner of KRONIKA Consultoria, will talk about changes that markets have gone through in recent years, as the dimensions of business strategies have broadened. This talk aims to give participants a view of competition and innovation focused on results and underpinned by ethical values. It will also help them understand strategic management processes of relevance to their careers and organizations, in line with market, economic and behavioral trends.

The third day of the Business and Entrepreneurship Week will discuss “Hybrid Project Management Models.” Marcantonio Fabra, the vice president for marketing and communication at PMI-RJ and managing partner of Acreditar Empreendimentos, will talk about the dissemination of agile project management practices in areas besides IT, as well as other management approaches that have given rise to so-called hybrid models. He will present this new approach and the pros and cons of using it.

On March 12, a talk titled “Grow a Business or Merely Survive?” will wrap up the week. The speaker will be Professor André Perez, a consultant and professional in the field of education with more than 28 years of professional experience. He will explore new techniques and procedures that can help Brazilian entrepreneurs to find a secure path in a context of instability and uncertainty.
