Mastertalk: online event looks at macroeconomic prospects for 2022 and 2023
The purpose of this debate is to present possible changes to prospects for economic growth, inflation, interest rates.
On March 21, at 6 pm, the Finance and Economics Master’s Program at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a free webinar about macroeconomic prospects for 2022 and 2023, called “War in Ukraine, Brazil’s Presidential Election and Economic Prospects.”
Expectations for the Brazilian economy in the short and medium term have been affected by the war in Ukraine and its severe economic consequences, as well as the presidential race in Brazil. The purpose of this debate is to present possible changes to prospects for economic growth, inflation, interest rates and the exchange rate in these circumstances.
The speakers will be Nilson Teixeira, a partner in Macro Capital, who has extensive experience at various financial institutions and a doctorate in economics from the University of Pennsylvania; and Emerson Marçal, a professor at FGV EESP and the coordinator of its undergraduate economics course and Center for Applied Macroeconomic Studies (CEMAP). The moderator will be Márcio Holland, a professor at FGV EESP and the coordinator of its Finance and Economics Master’s Program.
