Meeting in Madrid brings together experts to discuss shared asset database
FGV’s Nucleus for Prospecting and International Intelligence (NPII) participated, on April 1-4, of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Focus Group on Applications of Distributed Technology. Held in Madrid (Spain), the meeting aimed to discuss issues related to Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT), such as standards, definitions, technical architecture, and regulatory framework.
This is the sixth of a series of meetings taking place throughout 2019, which will culminate in a final Focus Group report. The document, which will be discussed in Geneva under the ITU – International Telecommunication Union, will bring together the main considerations on DLT coming from experts from different countries, representing universities, governments, companies, NGOs, and think tanks.
FGV NPII was represented by international intelligence analyst Leonardo Paz Neves, who is part of this working group (Policy Framework area) and develops at NPII pioneering projects on applications of new digital technologies for finance, communications, and international security issues.
