Microsoft director gives lecture on quantum computing
Quantum computing is no longer a distant dream and has become a reality, as a new way of conducting computing, programming logic, and equipment architecture that will make the current model obsolete, as well as being an ability to solve in minutes or hours, problems that today may take hundreds of years to solve. To discuss the topic, FGV´s Sao Paulo School of Economics (EESP) will be holding, on June 3, the lecture “Computação quântica: estado atual, aplicações reais” (“Quantum computing: current status, real applications”) at Auditorium 6 (Rua Itapeva, 474, Bela Vista, São Paulo, SP).
The topic will be addressed by Ronan Damasco, National Technology Officer at Microsoft Brasil. The guest will discuss what is quantum computing, current and future practical applications for the business world and economy, and how people must prepare to enter this new world of computing.
The event will be organized by the MSc in Economics and Finance (MPE) with the support of the Nucleus for Data Science.
