Model for monitoring and evaluation in public management is launched at online event

The Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results for Brazil and Lusophone Africa (CLEAR) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a free webinar to launch a model for monitoring and evaluation in public management. This public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel on September 27, at 2 p.m.

The event will present a proposed model for monitoring and evaluation in public management to partners in Brazil’s Northeast region. The proposal – developed as part of the CLEAR Northeast program, which seeks to help strengthen the development of an evidence-based public policy culture in the region – consists of six courses designed for specific audiences, according to their area of activity: technicians, managers, researchers and government evaluators. It is hoped that government bodies will use this material in line with their specific needs when developing training courses and learning paths.

The speakers will be Márcia Joppert, director of the Brazilian Monitoring and Evaluation Network (RBMA); Roberto Matos, Maranhão state assistant secretary for planning and budgeting; and Priscila Bacalhau, a researcher at CLEAR. The proposed model will be presented by CLEAR researcher Fernanda Caires. The opening remarks will be given by André Portela, a professor at FGV EESP and director of CLEAR. The moderator will be Gabriela Lacerda, the executive manager of CLEAR.
