New FGV building will be inaugurated later this year

In December this year, the new premises of Fundação Getulio Vargas - FGV will be completed and Rio de Janeiro will have another work of the architect Oscar Niemeyer. The set was designed by Niemeyer in the 1950s and includes a tower of 19 floors, a terrace and a cultural center, which will have a library, a study area and auditoriums. Rio will get a beautiful building, said FGV's vice-president, Sergio Franklin Quintella, in an interview to newspaper O Globo last Friday.In addition, the construction holds a LEED certification - scoring system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to measure the environmental performance of design, construction and maintenance of buildings. Please click here to learn more about Oscar Niemeyer Tower and FGV's new facilities.
