Online debate about diversity and business sustainability
Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School will hold a free webinar on May 17, at 6 pm, called “Diversity and Business Sustainability: Challenges and Prospects in the Legal Area.” The speakers will be Sao Paulo Law School professors Anna Lygia Costa Rego and Tatiana Cristina Aguiar.
Recent studies by the World Economic Forum and consulting firm McKinsey & Company found an urgent need to make public and private sector institutions more diverse in terms of race, gender, class, physical and mental capacity and age, among other ways. This could make them more efficient for the whole of society.
In this context, legal rules play a fundamental role in the creation of diversity programs and it is necessary to follow both international and national rules.
Business sustainability is a subject that complements diversity. High-performance businesses are not only characterized by their financial indicators, but also by demonstrating positive results in terms of sustainability. For this reason, legal professionals must be prepared to deal with challenges while promoting legal strategies to comply with these guidelines. In this webinar, the speakers will debate important current issues in the legal and corporate environment.
