Online event focuses on building data management plans for research projects
The aim of the event is to highlight the importance of the Data Management Plan (DMP) in the context of research projects. In it, you define how data is collected, stored, organized, preserved and shared.
A data management plan is a fundamental document for any research project, mapping the life cycle of data from collection to sharing. In this context, the FGV Library System, through its Digital Libraries, is holding an event about this subject on June 28, starting at 2 p.m., on FGV’s YouTube channel. The event is aimed at supporting efforts to ensure the integrity, quality and reproducibility of research, as well as facilitating collaboration between researchers and promoting transparency in the world of science.
The aim of the event is to highlight the importance of data management plans in research projects. These plans define how data is collected, stored, organized, preserved and shared. As well as being a publication requirement for some national and international scientific journals, a data management plan ensures that your data is accessible, reliable and reusable, maximizing its impact on the scientific community.
The event will stand out for the practical and specialized approach presented by the speakers, who are librarians at the FGV Digital Libraries and responsible for the FGV Research Data Repository. They will provide an in-depth and applied view of research data management, sharing their experiences and best practices on how to acquire knowledge and design and implement a data management plan. The speakers will be Marcelle Costal, a librarian at FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Digital Library; and Raphael Xavier, a librarian at FGV’s Sao Paulo Digital Library.
