The Master’s Program at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a webinar called “Traders vs. Investors: Losers and Winners on Stock Exchanges.” This public event will take place on November 27, at 6 p.m., on FGV’s YouTube channel. The aim is to explore the world and illusions of traders and learn the ways of investors.

In recent years, the number of Brazilians investing in the stock market has grown dramatically. However, the results of these investments have disappointed many traders. Using an extensive database and a solid theoretical approach, two FGV EESP professors – Bruno Giovannetti (who has a doctorate in economics from Columbia University) and Fernando Chague (who has a doctorate in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) – have been studying the behavioral biases of people trying to become a millionaire overnight.

The moderator will be Márcio Holland, a professor and the coordinator of FGV EESP’s Master’s Program.
