Preliminary result of Industrial Survey signals reduction in July
The preliminary result of FGV’s Industrial Survey for July 2019 signals a 1.7-point reduction in the Industry Confidence Index (ICI) in relation to the final result for June.
This month’s negative result was determined by a deterioration in business people’s perceptions in relation to both the present situation and future business prospects. The Current Situation Index (ISA) fell 2.5 points, to 94.1 points, the lowest value since October 2018 (93.4 points). In turn, the Expectations Index (IE) slipped 0.9 of a point, to 93.9, the lowest level since July 2017 (93.1).
The preliminary result for July indicates a 0.6-percentage-point increase in the Industrial Installed Capacity Usage Level (NUCI), to 75.6%.
