Research on judiciary’s image is debated by officials and academics

On June 26, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Center for Judicial Innovation, Administration and Research (CIAPJ) will hold a webinar called “The Brazilian Judiciary’s Image: Academic Reflections.”

The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel as of 9:30 am. The speakers will include FGV’s president, Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, and three Superior Court of Appeals justices: Luis Felipe Salomão (CIAPJ’s coordinator), Marco Aurélio Bellizze (FGV’s academic coordinator for judicial studies) and Og Fernandes.

The webinar will also feature the president of the Brazilian Association of Judges (AMB), Renata Gil; Rio de Janeiro Appeal court judge Elton Leme (CIAPJ’s deputy coordinator); and the chairman of the science committee of polling firm Ipespe, Antonio Lavareda (FGV’s technical coordinator for judicial studies).
