Rio de Janeiro to host governors at 7th meeting of South and Southeast Integration Consortium
The event, to be presided over by the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro, will take place from March 2 to 4 at the FGV Cultural Center (186 Praia de Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro).
Rio de Janeiro will host the governors of Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná for the 7th meeting of the South and Southeast Integration Consortium (COSUD). The event, to be presided over by the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro, will take place from March 2 to 4 at the FGV Cultural Center (186 Praia de Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro).
There will be a series of conferences to discuss topics such as sanitation, tax reform and the Federative Pact. At the end, a “Letter from Rio de Janeiro” will be presented, setting out a raft of proposals formulated during the event for the development of state-level public policies.
In addition to state governors from Brazil’s Southeast and South regions and their secretaries, COSUD will also be attended by Institutional Relations Minister Alexandre Padilha, Justice Antonio Anastasia of the Federal Audit Court and Senator David Alcolumbre, among other public officials.
The South and Southeast Integration Consortium’s conferences will be livestreamed on the YouTube channel of the state government of Rio de Janeiro.
