Rio de Janeiro Law School analyzes European Union and Mercosur systems in Jean Monnet Program module

FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School (DIREITO RIO) will offer, from August 7, one more edition of the European Module of the Jean Monnet Program. The course - free and offered by the School since 2010 - is supported by the European Commission. The focus this semester will be Institutional Law in the European Union and Mercosur, in addition to other systems of regional integration in a comparative perspective.

 

This program is part of the objective of the European block to stimulate teaching, research and consideration on issues related to European integration in higher education institutions within and outside the block. According to the coordinator of the course, Paula Almeida, current issues concerning the crisis in Europe and Latin America will be addressed, which will account for our reality in legal and political terms.

 

The module does not have pre-requisites, and is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students of Law, Economics, Administration or Social Sciences at any institution, as well as professionals in the area.

 

The course will be taught in English, but guest speakers will speak in their mother tongues. It will take place at FGV's headquarters in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil.

 

Students from other institutions must enroll here (form in Portuguese). Students of Rio de Janeiro Law School must complete their enrollment on the student page.

 

The deadline is until August 1st.
