In June, the coordinator of FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School, Thiago Bottino, attended the seminar Capital flight, which took place at the Brazilian Lawyers Institute (IAB). The event discussed the need for a reform of the economic criminal law for this type of financial crime.

Capital flight is also the subject of an article published in May by the professor, in the Brazilian Journal of Criminal Sciences - the most important Brazilian Criminal Law Journal. In the lecture, I addressed the topic of economic regulation and criminal law, and the bills in Congress proposing amnesty for capital flight crimes, said Bottino. The professor shared the table with IAB's president, Fernando Fragoso, and José Carlos Tórtima.

IAB is the oldest house of lawyers in the country and works with the Republic's branches of power, providing opinions on draft laws and cooperating with various Legislative Committees.

Currently, Thiago Bottino is a permanent member of the Institute's Criminal Law Standing Committee.
