The professor of International Law at FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School, Paula Wojcikiewicz, was invited to teach a class at the Law School of the University of Montreal on November 20th. She will talk about the contemporary challenges of Mercosur, legal order and dispute settlement system in a conference opened for master's and doctoral students and professors of the Canadian institution.

The theme is the result of the doctoral thesis of the professor, who has received the highest honorable mention of the Law School of Sorbonne (Université Paris 1) and it was published in the book ?La difficile incorporation et mise en oeuvre des normes du Mercosur? (The difficult incorporation and implementation of Mercosur's standards). An analysis of the challenges of Mercosur will be conducted, as a result of the required deepening of its standards and institutions and the current enlargement toward new Member States, explains Paula.

The invitation came from the Center for Business Law and Commercial Law, and the Chair of Research in Canada on the North-American legal and cultural compared identities - both based in the Law School of the University of Montréal.

On the occasion, opportunities for academic partnerships between FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School and the institution will also be discussed.
