Rio de Janeiro Law School professor discusses integration in Mercosur at an international seminar

On August 15-16, Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida, professor at FGV's Rio de Janeiro Law School (DIREITO RIO),  participated in the seminar The International Law before the Search for the Primacy of Justice, whose main organizers were the Latin American Society of International Law (SLADI) and the Brazilian Society of International Law (SBDI).   With a focus on Mercosur, due to the current economic crisis, the professor spoke about the theme Current Aspects of Subregional Integration, carrying out a legal analysis of the progresses and setbacks in the integration process of the countries of the block.   The event was also attended by the judge of the International Court of Justice and SLADI's president, Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, the Secretary of Legal Affairs of the Organization of American States (OAS), Jean-Michel Arrighi, in addition to the President of the Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI) of the OAS, João Clemente Baena Soares.   The lecture took place at the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
