São Paulo Law School analyzes the protests in Brazil

FGV's São Paulo Law School promoted today, June 24th, the meeting The Outbreak of Social Manifestations: a New Cycle of Brazilian Democracy?. The purpose was to discuss the recent demonstrations that erupted across the country from the Movement Free Pass (Movimento Passe Livre).  The event brought together professors, researchers, students, experts and NGO representatives to discuss issues such as youth, social movements and public safety. It also addressed the impact of the movement and its implications for democracy and rule of law in Brazil.  Attendance by the director of São Paulo Law School, Oscar Vilhena Vieira, was confirmed.  The debate took place at the school's headquarters in São Paulo - Brazil, from 10.30am.
