On May 28, the Market and Investment Studies Department of São Paulo Law School (DIREITO SP) held the second event of the series ?Encontros do Mercado? (Market Meetings) ? attended in this edition by business commercial and development director at BMF&Bovespa, Cristiana Pereira.During the event, Cristiana mentioned the activities of the Committee of Smaller Deals, created with the purpose to propose initiatives that contribute for the capital market to be used in the funding of small and medium companies. The committee is the result of the public and private sectors gathered together through a work group comprised of representatives of BNDES, BMF&Bovespa, Brazilian Securities Commission (CVM), Brazilian Innovation Agency (Finep) and Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI).The project ?Encontros do Mercado? by the Market and Investment Studies Department was created to allow the experience exchange among capital market participants and professors and researchers that follow up the subject.The first event of the series took place on May 22 and was attended by CVM's director Ana Novaes, who presented the proposals to amend Instrução CVM nº 409 instruction.
